Why Support our Cause?

We are a fully volunteer based non profit helping families impacted by Angelman Syndrome. We don’t pay any salaries and we keep our running costs to an absolute minimum. As a small charity focused on a rare disease, every donation and grant we receive is deeply meaningful and impactful.

Through our fundraising we help to:

  • Provide Support for people with Angelman Syndrome and their families
  • Increase Public Awareness and Understanding of Angelman Syndrome
  • Invest in International Angelman Syndrome Research
  • Advocate for people with Angelman Syndrome and their families

  • Run, Jog, Walk or Cycle Angelman Ireland are set up with givetoyou.ie for numerous race events around the country. Check out to see if there’s an event near you! See https://give2you.ie/fundraising-campaigns and select Angelman Syndrome Ireland at the dropdown
  • Coffee Morning. Organise a coffee morning in your home, community or office. Set a date, bake some treats, put on the kettle, and invite your family, friends and colleagues to join you for a few hours. Collect donations from your guests and lodge them with Angelman Syndrome Ireland through iDonate.
  • Table quiz. Organise a table quiz in your local pub or hang out. Nothing excites people more than the spirit of competition! Charge admission and test your friends’ knowledge on different subjects.
  • Fundraising raffle. Source a fantastic prize by speaking to your work or local businesses in your community and sell raffle tickets. The winner gets the prize and you lodge the funds raised from the ticket sales with Angelman Syndrome Ireland through iDonate.
  • Golf tournament. Represent Angelman Ireland at your local club. As a Golf Champion, you can help promote our cause!
